Shafik Kagimu failed to convert an 85th minute penalty as URA played to a goalless stalemate with new comers Nyamityobora at Namboole.

The URA skipper stepped up in 12 yards only to see his penalty comfortably saved by the Nyamityobora custodian Hillary Jomi.

Ironically, Jomi was lucky not to be sent off by referee Alex Muhabi 3 minutes earlier when he intentionally hit Robert Mukongotya in an off ball incident.

Saidi Kyeyune also came close to scoring in the 15th minute after a howler from Jomi but he was unfortunate his effort came off the cross bar.

Nyamityobora’s glorious chance of the evening fell to Charles Musiige who had to capitalize from a defensive mishap from Ronald Musana but failed to beat James Alitho from close range.

Ssimbwa brought on Abdallah Nyanzi for Siraje Sentamu at the start of second half before bringing on Joachim Ojera for an injured Matthew Odong Tayo at the hour mark.

With 15 minutes to normal time, Vitalis Tabu was also withdrawn for Mukongotya in a bid to find the elusive goal but in vain.
