Henry Kalungi foundation extends aid to the Uganda Volleyball federation

Former Uganda Cranes and Charlotte Independence defender Henry Kalungi under his Henry Kalungi Foundation gave out Volleyball equipments like Balls, Nets, Jerseys, socks and sport shoes and so much more to the Uganda Volleyball Federation.

The equipments were handed to the Uganda Volleyball Federation President Hadijah Namanda at the event that was held at Kibuli Secondary School.

Henry Kalungi Foundation President Jacqueline Kalungi was also in attendance.

Kalungi says that the foundation is aimed at improving lives of people in the country through various activities

“We started this foundation with the major aim of improving lives of people in the country through various activities. During the previous years, we have been focusing on football but since my wife Jacqueline is a former Volleyball player in USA we decided to teach the girl child skills about the game.”

We have been supported by the USA Volleyball Federation, Winthrop University and other organizations.”

Namanda, the Uganda Volleyball Federation President hailed the Henry Kalungi Foundation for the overwhelming support

“We thank the Henry Kalungi Foundation for the overwhelming support and we believe the equipments are to help in the development of the game of volleyball in the country. I thank Henry and Jacqueline for the amazing support.” She stated.

In the previous years, Kalungi has been donating sports equipments to the underprivileged children who can’t afford to procure their own sports gear.

Kalungi confirmed that they are to purchase 10 acres of land in Bulemeezi were they will construct a boarding School that will help in improving lives of children in slums through academics and talents.
