Midfielder Hashim Sempala has been named captain of the Kenya based club Tusker FC taking over from Veteran Duncan Ochieng who will now double as a player and member of the techincal team.
The Ugandan midfielder joined Tusker FC from BUL FC and will be deputised by Peter Nzuki and Micheal Madoya as his first and second assistants respectively.
After his appointment Ssempala thanked the club management for trusting him and promised to work hand in hand with his assistants to lead the Brewers to the better this was confirmed by the club website,
” First and foremost I want to thank the techincal team and the management for entrusting me with leading this great club, to the out going captains Lloyd and Duncan you have guided us together as a team through your time.”
” It is not an easy task but I will do my best with my assistants Peter Nkuzi and Micheal Madoya to make sure that we lead this club to the better.” he added
In Uganda he played for BUL, URA and Express and he won a double with Tusker FC in 2016 that is the KPL and Gotv Shield Cup.
However Swift Sports understands Sempala’s contract has four months to expire
The Brewers are 4th on the log of 18 with 13 points from 7 games and will be back in action on Sunday 20th January in the Sportpesa Premier League against Ulinzi Stars at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.
