Hashim Sempala joins Zambian club

Zambian side Kabwe Warriors has officially unveiled Ugandan midfielder Hashim Sempala.

Sempala joins as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Kenyan side Tusker FC and has been awarded an employment contract of two years.

The midfielder has previously played for Express FC, BUL FC, URA FC in Uganda, Gor Mahia and Tusker in Kenya.

With Tusker he managed to win a domestic double in 2016 under Ugandan coach Paul Nkata.

He joins fellow Ugandan Shafik Batambuze at his new side.

Kabwe Warriors host their games at Godfrey Chitalu Stadium in Kabwe and is former home for Ugandan goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan.

They will represent Zambia in the next season’s CAF Confederation Cup after finishing 4th on the FAZ Premier League table last season.

They have won five league titles as well as five Zambian Cups.
