Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Robert Odongkara featured for Horoya AC in their 3-2 win over Satellite FC in a Guinea Ligue 1 game played in Conakry on Thursday.
This was Odongkara’s first competitive start for Horoya since making a move from Ethiopia’s Adama City in a two year deal last July.
The lanky shot stopper is considered second fiddle behind first choice custodian Moussa Camara across all competitions.
Out of the 14 games Horoya have played in all competitions, Odongkara has only managed to appear on the substitutes’ bench five times missing out on the match day final squad on eight occasions.
He was unfortunate to concede Naby Soumah inside the first 10 minutes of the game.
Yakubu Hudu, Boubacar Samassekou and Mohamed Djibo scored for Horoya before Alseny Toure beat Odongkara from a free kick in the final five minutes.
Horoya are fifth on the league table with 10 points from 5 games played. Their next game will be against Fello Stars on Monday 6th January.
