GOTV joins Aziz Damani as National Volleyball League playoffs are launched


The Aziz Damani National Volleyball League playoffs have been officially launched today Tuesday 30th October in Nakasero, Kampala.

Unlike last year, Pay TV giants GOTV have come on board to join Aziz Damani in partnership with the Uganda Volleyball Federation (UVF).


GOTV will broadcast the games live on one of their channels (Pearl Magic) and offer decoders and T-shirt for the top performers both in the Men and Female category.

Benjamin Musoke, a CEO and representative from the Aziz Damani family stressed out why they renewed their partnership with the Volleyball federation.

” We were honoured to be part of Volleyball last year. We were happy with the way the league transpired. We have been in Cricket, Football and now we want to renew partnership with Volleyball because we want to see the sport get the passion it deserves.”

Musoke said.

Speaking on behalf of GOTV, Florence Nakirya expressed her delight of partnering with the Volleyball federation,

She said;
” We (GOTV) are so excited to be part of this game. We are known for supporting sports and we promise to support the Volleyball throughout. We are offering decoders and T-shirts for the top performers both Men and Women.”

The president of the Uganda Volleyball Federation Hadija Namanda also lauded both partners for their passion and support towards the game.

” We are so grateful and excited by the continued support of the Aziz Damani family and the new partners on board.”

Namanda said.

The playoffs are slated to start on Tuesday 6th November 2018. The MTN Arena (Lugogo) and Sport-S Grounds in Nsambya are the main venues for the showdowns.

Nemo Stars are the defending champions in the Men’s category whereas Nkumba are holders of the Women’s championship.

Teams in the playoffs are;

Serie A Men: UCU, Sport-S, Nemo Stars, Ndejje.
Serie A Women: Nkumba A, Sport S, Ndejje, UCU
Serie B Men: Lira VC, Tigers, KU VC, JVC
Series C Men: ARK VC, OBB, Thunders, KAVC B
