Former Cranes winger Dan Wagaluka and midfielder Godfrey Buni were both handed their debuts after missing out on the first group game against AS Ports due to a delay in transfer clearance.

Former UPDF center back Joseph Othieno featured in the heart of defense flanked by left back Dalausi Kiwalabye who featured for Soana FC last season.

Former Miracle FC midfielder Ismail ‘Alvez’ Walugembe formed a partnership with his compatriot Buni in the middle of the pack.

Lydia Ludic started on the front foot, Alexie Kitenge punished Gor Mahia for their recklessness in their own half when burried the ball into the net to snatch a 2 minute lead.

Philemon Otieno levelled the scores 6 minutes later capitalizing on a lapse in the Ludic defense inside the box.

Dan Wagaluka restored the lead for the Burundians in the 53rd minute after beating Harun Shakava to launch an exquisite curling ball past Shaban Odhoji in the Gor Mahia goal.

The Burundians held on to their fragile lead but blew it away in the last minute of the added 5.

Iddi Djuma Said clumsily handed the ball inside the box and Jacques Tuyisenge flawlessly converted from the spot to ensure another 2-2 draw for K’Oghalo.

In the early kick off, Sulait Luyima’s AS Ports Djibouti played to a 1-1 draw with Rayon Sports to maintain their position on the top of the group with 4 points.

Gor Mahia and Rayon Sports are tied on 2 points each while Lydia Ludic is bottom placed with one point garnered from 2 games.

Uganda’s representatives Vipers will return to action today in a must win encounter against South Sudan’s Kator FC.

Simba SC, Singida United, Azam FC, JKU and AS Ports have already earned their places in the quarter finals.
