FUFA Big League side Wakiso Giants have agreed personal terms with experienced shot stopper Yasin “Gabis” Mugabi who is on a return from Zambia.

Mugabi was turning up for Lusaka Dynamos until November when the Zambian club breached his contract together with his compatriot and defender Ramathan Yakubu.

The tried and tasted custodian now joins the Wakiso Giants goalkeeping cast that consists of Ivan “Mansoor” Mutumba (formerly at Express), Robert Ssaka and Cleo James Setuba (formerly at URA and Bright Stars).

Mugabi has in the past featured for SC Villa, KCCA FC, URA FC, The Saints and Police football club but also the national team The Cranes.

His arrival at club christened the Purple Sharks is highly received at the time when the Ibrahim Kirya men lead the Elgon group in a quest of gaining promotion to the top flight.

Wakiso Giants have already released veteran midfielder Steven Bengo following his absconding from the club duties but are also in talks over a possible deal for Police striker Ogik Norman.
