KCCA captain and first choice goalkeeper Charles Lukwago will miss the 2020 CHAN final tournament after sustaining an arm injury.
Lukwago was stretchered off during KCCA’s 1-1 draw with Express in a Uganda Premier League game on Saturday at Lugogo.
He is expected to be out for six weeks and yet the CHAN final tournament kicks off on April 4th in Cameroon.
Lukwago was expected to be Uganda’s first goalkeeper at the continental showpiece having been in an intergral figure in the qualifiers.
Uganda is placed in Group C alongside neighbors Rwanda, debutants Togo and defending champions Morocco.
Jonathan McKinstry, the Cranes coach is expected to look up to SC Villa’s Saidi Keni, Kyetume’s Joel Mutakubwa and Alionzi Nafian of URA.
