Ugandan attacking midfielder Lawrence Ndugga continued to enjoy quality time in the Botswana premier league with a goal and an assist as Sharps Shooting Stars got better of BDF XI with a 3-0 victory.

Prior to this encounter, BDF XI together with Ivan Ntege’s Township Rollers and Jorge Da Costa’s Jwaneng Galaxy were the only teams yet to taste defeat in the league.

Youngster Tshepo Malgas put Sharps Shooting Stars in the lead 3 minutes to the half time break.

Nine minutes into the second half, Ndugga almost made it 2-0 only to see his curler brilliantly parried away by the BDF XI goalkeeper for a corner.

The former Kira Young and BUL FC midfielder finally doubled the lead after perfectly converting from 12 yards 4 minutes off the hour mark.

The strike was Ndugga’s fourth goal of the season having previously netted against Black Forest, Miscellaneous FC and Notwane FC on his debut.

15 minutes to normal time, Letlhogonolo Chenjela put the game beyond reach with a header from a Ndugga well delivered free kick.

Victory propelled Sharps Shooting Stars to the third place at 20 points after 9 games, 3 points behind leaders Rollers who play against BR Highlanders on Sunday.
