Goalkeeper Eric Dhaira has signed a two year contract with Maroons fc. The former Bul fc custodian has been strongly linked with to Express fc but has chosen to join the prison wardens.
Eric, a brother to the late Abel Dhaira expressed his gratitude with swiftsportug.com after completing the move.
“I am very happy to join Maroons, personally I wanted enough playing time and i believe I have made the right decision to join this wonderful club. It’s now upon me to deliver for the club after having entrusted me and it’s time for me to work hard to achieve my targets.”
“At BUL fc, I was not given enough playing time yet I had the potential, but all in all I wish them well and it’s time for me to begin a new chapter in my career. I know Maroons has got brilliant goalkeepers like Ashadu Bugembe and Akol but am ready to compete with them and help the team together.”
He has previously played for Wama FC (2013-2015), Soana in 2015 and IBV Vestmannaeyjar of Iceland, the same club were his late brother Abel Dhaira played his professional football. Last season he was at Bul FC for a second stint.
Dhaira will face stiff competition from Ashadu Bugembe and Emmanuel Akol the other goalkeepers at the club for a starting place during the forthcoming season.
