SC Villa earlier this transfer season earmarked George Ssenkaaba from Kirinya Jinja SS to fill the void left by talisman Emma Okwi who departed for greener pastures at Simba FC in Tanzania.
SC Villa have already started the preparations for the new season and Ssenkaaba has started with the acclimatisation process and integration into the new team,
“Villa is a big club and so i have to work hard since it is a pressure club with great ambitions, this means i have to work tirelessly to also suit the club’s major objectives.
good enough I have already made a few friends who are helping me in the readjusting.
” I can handle the pressure of filling the boots of fans’ favourite Emmanuel Okwi. Said Ssekaaba when asked whether he can really handle.
” I can score the goals which I have been doing all my career wherever I have been, so with the support from my teammates and the trust from my coaches, I believe the best of me will come out. ” added the striker.
“I like the training regime here, and very comfortable with the way the coaches conduct our sessions, I just can’t wait for the new season to come and we hit the ground running.”
Like any other striker at a top club, Ssenkaaba too aspires to challenge for the top scorers boot. He asserts,
“My major objective is to win the Premier league title for Villa in the new season and on a personal point of View, i would like to be on the score sheets regularly and perhaps contests for the golden boot. He concluded.
Last season, Ssenkaaba played for The Saints FC during the first round and he managed 3 goals and he moved to Kirinya Jinja S. S during the 2nd round where he managed to score 5 goals for the Jinja based side.
