David GOMBE

Gaddafi FC are interested in the services of Uganda Revenue Authority FC defender Benjamin Nyakoojo.

Nyakoojo has a year left on his employment contract at the tax collectors.

Swift Sports Uganda understands that Gaddafi have held more substantive talks with the defender and remain hopeful that they will pull off the deal.

Nyakoojo joined URA from Vipers SC and has also previously featured for Masavu FC and Entebbe Young. He also played for the Uganda Cubs (U-18) team in 2015 as well as St.Mary’s Kitende and Buwekula in the prestigious Masaza Cup competition.

Incoming Gaddafi head coach Wasswa Bbosa has made the defence and midfield additions his priority this transfer window, with the club close to completing moves for John Byamukama and Godfrey Lwesibawa.

During their debut season in the Uganda Premier league, Gaddafi finished in 8th place with 37 points.
