FWSL : Lady Doves part company with head coach Ongodia

Lady Doves have officially parted ways with their head coach John Ongodia on a mutual consent.

The Masindi based club confirmed the development via their official facebook account on Wednesday morning,

“After a careful review of the club’s performance in the just concluded season and looking at ambitions of the club in the coming season, the leadership of Lady Doves FC has made and hereby announces immediate changes in the technical bench,“

Ongodia joined Lady Doves at the start of the cancelled season (in August) replacing Oliver Mbekeka who had lost two finals in the 2018-19 campaign.

During Ongodia’s reign, Lady Doves won a total of five games, lost twice and drew once in the nine games they played overall.

Ongodia is a former Bukedea Town Council head coach but also took charge of She Corporates and Olila High School in the FUFA Women Elite League as well as Karamoja province in the FUFA Drum.

Fred Musiime has been confirmed as the club’s interim coach while Rajab Buyinza has been named an associate coach for the next two years.

Lady Doves were third on the FUFA Women Super League table before the league was declared null and void. They had 13 points, four behind Kawempe Muslim who were the pacesetters.
