Patricia Apio scored the all important goal as Olila High School WFC brought down Kampala Queens in one of the three Elizabeth group games played in Soroti.

The slender win for last year’s losing finalists drew the intriguing fight for the top two slots wide open with four games to play.

Olila leapfrog Kampala Queens to go second on the Elizabeth group log on 21 points tied with leaders UCU Lady Cardinals who have a superior goal difference of (+10).

Uganda Martyrs bounced back to the rails in remarkable style drubbing debutants Bugiri Town View SS 6-0 at the Lubiri SS playground ground.

Shadia Nankya became the second player to score a hat trick this season and majestically took her season tally to eight goals thus far.

Shadia’s namesake Rashida (Nankya) grabbed a brace while Esther Namudira scored the other converting in her own net to ensure a comprehensive score for the Lubaga based outfit.

The result which is also the fourth win for Uganda Martyrs elevates them to 16 points, two behind third placed Kampala Queens.

She Mak extended their proximity from the drop zone with 1-0 win over Lango Queens in the third Elizabeth group game played in Lira courtesy of Rebecca Nakasaato.

The Makerere University female side has now garnered 12 points and are six points clear of the red line.

Lady Doves were 4-1 victors over fellow debutants Dynamic SS Jjeza in the only Victoria group game played at the Katusabe grounds in Masindi.

Lydia Nyandera netted twice whilst Nuru Nakyanzi and Kenyan import Lillian Veronica Zeddy scored one a piece for the Oliver Mbekeka coached team.

Scovia Kabiri managed the lone goal for Dynamic SS Jjeza who sit on the bottom of the table with only a point garnered after 10 outings.

Lady Doves are on 22 points and seven better than third placed She Corporates who drew 1-1 with Rines SS WFC on Saturday.
