Kawempe Muslim extended their dominance in the Victoria group with 6-0 rout over Rines SS WFC at the school valley ground in Kawempe on Saturday.

The comprehensive victory elevated the four time champions to a touching distance with a 5th consecutive semi final play off qualification.

Juliet Nalukenge and Asia Nakibuuka grabbed a brace each while Tracy Jones Akiror and Sharon Nadunga scored one a piece to ensure an easy victory.

The double struck by Nalukenge propelled the young striker to 9 goals level with UCU Lady Cardinals’ Hasifa Nassuna as the leading scorers as far as this season is concerned.

After nine games, Kawempe Muslim lead the Victoria group with 25 points, six better than second placed Lady Doves FC. The school side can become the first team to book a place in the play offs with five games to play come next game day.

Lady Doves aggravated the woes of Asubo-Gafford Ladies with a 2-0 victory at the Katusabe grounds in Masindi thanks to Nuru Nakyanzi and Kenyan import Veronica Zeddy.

The result keeps Asubo-Gafford Ladies in the drop zone (7th) with seven points garnered from nine games played while Lady Doves stretch their season tally to 16.

In the same pool, She Corporates defeated lowly placed league debutants Dynamic SS Jjeza 3-0 in Muduuma, Mityana.

Aisha Namubiru netted twice while Jackie Ogol scored the other as the Nakawa outfit recorded their third victory of the season.

Ajax Queens and Muteesa I Royal University played to a 1-1 draw at Buddo SS in a match where Phiona Nabbumba scored for the home side while Margret Namirimu did the same for Muteesa.

Damalie Matama, Zaina Namuleme (free kick), Lillian Mutuuzo and new signing Monica Namwese (acquired from Asubo-Gafford Ladies) scored for the Farida Bulega side.

The Crested Cranes tactician credited her team’s win to good preparations.
