Kawempe Muslim 3-0 She Corporates
Juliet Nalukenge grabbed a brace as Kawempe Muslim condemned She Corporates to their first defeat of the season at the school playground on Sunday.
Prior to the match, She Corporates had not tasted defeat neither had they conceded a goal but Nalukenge had different ideas as she exquisitely beat Vanessa Karungi to spring Kawempe into the lead with only 4 minutes played.
The Crested Cranes striker replicated her exploits when she caught the She Corporates defense flat footed to double the lead six minutes past the hour mark.
Substitute Brenda Nakayenga who had replaced Asia Nakibuuka then put the icing on the cake with a sublime low drive that beat Karungi from a tight angle nine minutes to normal time.
Victory helps the 4-time champions maintain an early grip on the top of the Victoria group table with 10 points from 4 games.
Ayub Khalifa the Kawempe tactician was delighted with his charges comprehensive result and echoed the team’s target.
” I am happy for my team’s win today. Leading is always our primary target, we have got our school tag line that says Go Higher but now for the case of our club, we aim for beyond the goal. We always target ultimate silverware” The four-time winning coach asserted.
Ayub’s equal number Ali Zzinda conceded that Kawempe were the better side in all aspects on the evening.
“ It’s unfortunate that we hadn’t conceded any goal before this game but now we have conceded many. Generally, Kawempe were better than us in everything but we shall make revision to bounce back in the next game. “
Zzinda’s She Corporates now slip to the 6th place with 5 points but will hope to recovery with a positive result in their subsequent fixture against Ajax Queens on Sunday.
