FWEL: Ajax queens host defending champions Kawempe Muslim

The FUFA women’s elite league champions Kawempe Muslim will visit a rejuvenated Ajax Queens side that is yet to concede a goal this season.

Ajax Queens have so far collected 7 points scoring 3 and conceding non, whereas Kawempe have won all 3 of their games and boast of having topscorer Juliet Nalukenge in their ranks.

Kawempe are the current leaders of the Victoria group on nine points followed by Sunday’s opponents Ajax Queens on 7 points after 3 games played.

Ajax Queens head coach Michael Natima told the press today in the conference held at FUFA house that,

” We are hosting Kawempe at Budo, our home ground and we are highly prepared for them. They are the defending champions, we respect them but we won’t fear them. We are up for the challenge.”

” We have set our targets for the season and the main one is to challenge them, the current table standings prove we are on track. We have no serious injuries and everyone is set for battle “. He added.

Opposite number Ayub Khalifa of Kawempe also reiterated that his charges are ready for any challenges and they are set sweep Ajax Queens aside to consolidate their grip on the top. He said,

” Kawempe Muslim ladies football club is ready for any challenges that come our way, we are prepared well, and we are planning to win this season’s championship without losing a game. We hope to show our intent in Sunday’s match as we are taking on our close challengers on the table.”
