FUTSAL: Sebagala scores five as Yeak Kabowa consolidate lead

Yeak Kabowa bounced back to the winning ways in style with a 6-2 victory of Nomad as the Futsal Super League took center stage at Mengo, Kisenyi.

Enock Sebagala scored five goals for Yeak Kabowa and took his season tally to 27 goals level with teammate Shafik Avemah who scored the other on the night.

Faud Osman Biriq netted twice for Nomad but his strikes only turned out to be consolations.

The comprehensive win sent Yeak Kabowa to 39 points and two clear of second placed Park who stumbled to a 1-1 draw with Aidenal.

Veron Steven Bikamata scored his first goal in the Park colours while Kasozi Jordan Michael was on target for the league debutants who also had their mercurial goalkeeper Martin Senkooto sent off.

Parakeets completed a season double over the defending champions Dream with a 4-2 victory in the opening game on the day.

Goals from Stephen Mukisa, Abigaba Joseph Vicent and Arafat Sentongo’s brace ensured Parakeets go three points shy of second placed Park.

Kabowa United put Typhoon to the sword with a 3-2 win thanks to strikes from Fred Mutebi, Denis Okiror and Moli Titus.

Equator battered Elephants 4-1 courtesy of a brace from Omar Hitimana and a goal each from Mutyaba Sulaiman and Davis Arinda.

Ronald Sekiganda’s lone goal was the match decider between his Bajim side and Mengo City.

Crown moved to the fourth position with 32 points after edging bottom placed Yap Stars 3-2.

The league with resume next Thursday 28th March at the International Futsal Courts in Mengo.
