FUTSAL: Crown, Park renew rivalry as Super League resumes

SINAN RAJUB SENOGA 

The Futsal Super League resumes on Thursday 28th March with seven match day 17 fixtures at the International Futsal Courts in Mengo, Kisenyi.

Former table leaders Crown and Park will renew their rivalry in the biggest fixture on the exciting menu.

Park are currently second with 37 points while their opponents Crown are fourth with five points less. The two will lock horns in the closing stages of the evening at 9:00pm.

The reverse fixture ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw with Park rallying from behind on two occasions through their captain Iddi Babu.

Babu who is third on the scorers’ chat with 26 goals, will once again be expected to lift the Park team as it has been throughout the entire campaign.

Table leaders Yeak Kabowa will intensify their title charge when they taken on lowly placed Kabowa United at 8:00pm.

Yeak Kabowa thumped Nomad 6-2 last week to go two points clear of Park thanks to the dynamic duo of Enock Sebagala and Shafik Avemah.

Both Sebagala and Avemah are joint top scorers with 27 goals each.

Defending champions Dream will hope to raise from the ruins of last week when they face off with Typhoon in one of the two 7:00pm kick offs on the card.

Dream fell to Parakeets and ultimately slumped to the fifth places while the White walkers lost 3-2 at Kabowa United.

Third placed Parakeets play against Bajim at 7:00pm whilst Mengo City open up the day with second from bottom Elephants at 6:00pm.

Debutants Aidenal School of Art will hope to continue with their impressive run when they face Nomad at 8:00pm.

Equator play against Yap Stars in the seventh fixture of the day at 9:00pm.
