FUFA Women’s Cup: She Corporates, She Mak and Uganda Martyrs sail to quarters

FUFA Women Elite League sides She Corporates, She Mak and Uganda Martyrs Lubaga booked slots in the quarter finals of this year’s FUFA Women’s Cup on Sunday.

The trio marched to the quarter finals following respective victories as the round of the 16 stage commenced.

She Corporates defeated Muteesa I Royal University 1-0 at MUBS Arena in Nakawa thanks to Millicient Mwanzi’s 15th minute goal.

The Kenyan born striker on loan from UCU Lady Cardinals was also the difference when the Nakawa outfit edged Ajax Queens in the round of 32 stage.

Uganda Martyrs edged Divine Girls 1-0 at the Lubiri SS playground ground courtesy of Prossy Nalwoga lone goal.

Makerere University female side She Mak recorded the biggest win on the evening, a 3-0 victory over Asubo-Gafford Ladies at the university playground.

Catherine Nagadya scored a brace for herself while Prossy Nabukeera scored the other to ensure a comprehensive victory for She Mak.

The round of 16 will resume on Sunday 10th March with one game. Kawempe Muslim Junior Team will play against Mwanda Foundation of Bugiri at the Kawempe Muslim playground.
