Kawempe Muslim will loathe a host of chances they failed to put away as they exited this year’s FUFA Women Cup at the hands of She Corporate in a 5-3 penalty shoot out at the Valley ground.

Juliet Nalukenge was the chief culprit as she squandered a glorious chance to break the tie, failing to convert from the spot few minutes to normal time sending the game into a goalless draw with spot kicks left to decide the fate.

In the shoot out, Kawempe’s Sharon Naddunga and Asia Nakibuuka missed their kicks whereas She Corporate flawlessly converted all their 5 spots to bury Kawempe’s double chasing hopes.

Elsewhere, Hasifa Nassuna’s brace together with goals from Jauhara Nalubega and Jackie Nakasi gave UCU Lady Cardinals a comfortable 4-0 win over Western United.

Holders Olila Women intensified their intent to defend their championship with a 4-0 win over Bugiri Town View thanks to a brace from Norah Alupo and goals from Cissy Nantongo and Siporossa Amoding.

Earlier on Saturday at Wankulukuku, Muteesa 1 Royal University became the first team to reach the semi finals after ejecting Uganda Martyrs Rubaga courtesy of a slim 1-0 victory thanks to winger Elizabeth Nakigozi’s strike.

The four teams; Muteesa 1 Royal University, UCU Lady Cardinals, She Corporate and Olila Women await for a semi-final draw at a day yet to be disclosed.
