FUFA President Eng.Moses Magogo has hailed former Cranes midfielder Hassan Wasswa for his remarkable 13 years in the National team colours.
Wasswa officially announced his retirement from the national team duties last week
“It is with great honor that I receive the news of the retirement of Hassan Wasswa from the national football team. Players rarely do this.”
“Say anything you want about Hassan but whenever he stepped on pitch for training or friendly of competitive match, he is one of the few players who always gave 200%. He really hated to lose.”
Magogo also a promised a testimonial match for the retiring veteran midfielder
“13 years with 75 caps at the senior level has earned Hassan Wasswa a testimonial match organized by FUFA at an appropriate time. He will determine the line ups and what the collections of the match will be used in accordance with his decision.”
Wasswa represented the Uganda Cranes at the 2017 and 2019 continental showpieces in Gabon and Egypt respectively.
