FUFA slap Kasingye with huge fine over misconduct

Uganda Police Football Club chairman Asan Kasingye has been sanctioned over misconduct which is contrary to Article 39(2) of the FUFA Ethics Code.

Kasingye stormed the pitch protesting against a controversial red card given to Police goalkeepeer Derrick Ochan in The Cops 3-2 defeat to Vipers SC at St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

The Police boss will have to pay a fine of 2.5 million shillings with in a period of 30 day or banned for six months without taking part in any football related activities be it national or international incase he involves himself in any other unethical conduct,

1. A minimum fine of UGX 2.5M ( Two Million Five Hundred Thousand Uganda Shillings Only) under Article 39 (3) and Article 40 (2) of the FUFA Ethics Code. The fine must be paid within thirty (30) days from receipt of the decision.

2. An automatic six months ban from all football related activities both Nationally and Internationally to be served in the event that Mr.Asan Kasingye commits any other specified unethical conduct against match Officials or in case he fails to furnish proof of payment of fine.”

Ochan was sent off by George Olemu who was the center referee after consulting from his assistant Juma Osire.

The red card was later called off by The FUFA Referees Displinary Panel after a review and Ochan was eligible to play their next game against Soltilo Bright Stars where he was unused subsitute

The Cops have 23 points from 11 games which puts them in the fourth position.

They next visit Uganda Premier League record champions SC Villa on Saturday 6th at Bombo Military Barracks Grounds.
