The FUFA Referees’ Disciplinary Panel has sanctioned two assistant referees Mbabali Samuel and Hakim Mulindwa from officiating in the Uganda Premier League and National Competitions until 18the March, 2022.

The suspension comes into effect from 22nd February 2022.
The FRDP reviewed the videos and match reports of separate Uganda Premier League (UPL) matches handled by both assistant referees.

On 11th February, 2022 at Wankulukuku in game match between Express and Tooro United, assistant referee Mulindwa admitted that his decision when he raised the flag due to positioning misled the centre referee who cancelled the Red Eagles’ goal.

On 16th, February, 2022, assistant referee Mbabali admitted that he made a mistake in the game between Arua Hill and Police FC as he failed to raise the flag against a player who received the ball from an office position before he crossed the ball to his teammate and later scored for Arua Hill SC.
