Onduparaka Junior team also known as Ondunyiri had to ensure victory over their Kirinya Jinja SS counterparts to book themselves a place in this season’s final against Vipers junior team.
A brace from Iddi Abdul Wahid and another goal from Anthony Kent handed the Ondunyiri a much needed 3-0 win and ensured they finish 2 points above KCCA J.A who finished second in the regular season.
KCCA FC J.A had to settle for a hard fought 2-1 win over URA junior team at the StarTimes Stadium Lugogo courtesy of goals from Timothy Odong and Nicholas Luzige. Muhammad Lubega had equalized for URA junior side sending the tie into a 1-1 halftime stalemate.
Elsewhere at Kitende, Vipers’ junior side thumped Mbarara City Junior team 4-0 thanks to goals from Ivan Asaba “Di Maria”, Sula Mpanga, Moses Bakabulindi and an own goal from Mahad Rashid.
Vipers SC Junior team topped the Hat trick group with 61 points whereas Onduparaka FC Junior team topped the Treble group with 59 points garnered from 21 games. The two sides will face off in the final slated for Friday 15th June at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo.
KCCA’s Sadat Anaku is in pole position to walk away with a second consecutive golden boot having finished top scorer in the regular season with 26 goals, 5 more than Vipers’ Sula Mpanga.
The FUFA Juniors league which was inaugurated 3 years ago has brought to light players like Bashir Mutanda, Hamis Tibita, Muhammad Shaban, Julius Poloto, Allan Okello among others.
