FUFA DRUM : West Nile, Bukedi pick away wins


Match day two of the FUFA Drum climaxed on Sunday with four games played.

Last year’s losing finalists West Nile registered their first win of the campaign after edging Karamoja 1-0 at St. Daniel Camboni playground in Kotido.

UCU’s Brian Ade came off the bench to score the all important goal for the West Nilers in the 83rd minute.

URA FC’s goalkeeper Alionzi Nafian Legarson who was also West Nile’s skipper on the evening was named man of the match.

In Kabale, Bukedi recorded their second win after defeating Kabale 2-1 at the Kabale Municipal stadium.

BUL FC’s Douglas Timothy Owori and SC Villa’s David Owori scored for Bukedi in the first half before Dickson Niwamanya found a consolation for the home side.

Full time saw Bukedi’s Ronald Musana named man of the match.

Busoga and Rwenzori played out a goalless draw at the Nyahuka stadium in Bundibugyo. Rwenzori and New Villa’s goalkeeper Isaac Kwizera Onyango was man of match.

Teso and Bugisu also shared spoils in a barren match played at Soroti sports ground.

Bugisu and CRO’s Steven Mukamba walked away with the man of the match accolade.
