The inaugural winners of the FUFA Drum tournament Buganda have named a star studded 23-man squad in a bid to defend their title.

Coached by Nyamityobora tactician Alex Musongola, Buganda will open their title defense campaign with an encounter against Lango at the Bishop’s SS Mukono grounds.

Among the big names in Isabirye’s squad is last year’s MVP Viane Sekajugo, Brian Majwega, Dan Birikwalira, Halid Lwaliwa and the ever green goal poacher Robert Sentongo who currently plies his trade with Kyetume FC.

SC Villa’s Bashir Mutanda, Tooro United’s Allan Kayiwa, Juma Balinya of Police FC and Shafik Kagimu are other notable inclusions.

Buganda won the first ever FUFA Drum tournament after defeating West Nile 2-1 in a two legged final last October.

They are pitted in B alongside Lango, Ankole and minnows Sebei.
