The hosts started by pressing high aiming to make home advantage count by attacking right from the onset. Allan Kayiwa, Vianne Ssekajugo and Shafik Kagimu all looked hungry and sharp but the breakthrough wasn’t going to easily come by.

Buganda had a penalty claim turned down but center referee George Olemu in the 19th minute after Filbert Obenchan brought Vianne Ssekajugo down in the area.

Coach Abdallah Omar Lol was forced into an early substitution in the 24th minute replacing Ibrahim Faizul with Rwothomio Cromwell as he seemed out of the game.

The game was destined for a stalemate but the razor sharp Sekajugo stood up at the death to secure a priceless victory for the “Nkoba Z’ambogo ”

The return leg and penultimate round will be played on Saturday 6th- September at Green Light Stadium Arua.
