FUFA has confirmed that the semi finals of the 2020/21 Stanbic Uganda Cup will be played in a single legged basis instead of the initial double legged format.

The semi finals will be played on 21st and 22nd September at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.

This was confirmed via the Federation’s social media platforms.

Vipers will be playing Police on 21st September while Express will face BUL FC a day later.

It should be noted that Vipers had expressed their willingness to play the semi finals before August 30th since their team had not yet re-grouped for the preseason training.

The final will be played on 26th September at the same venue.

The semi finals where initially scheduled to start on 19th August before FUFA announced a postponement to give more room for The Cranes to prepare for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Express, who will be aiming for a double, eliminated KCCA in the quarter finals while their opponents BUL ejected Proline FC.

Vipers beat rivals SC Villa while Police eliminated fellow UPL side Wakiso Giants.
