Proline FC secured an automatic promotion back to the Premier League after edging Kabale Sharp 2-0 at the Kabale Municipal Grounds.

Joseph Mandela (header) and Bright Anukani (free kick) scored in the first half for Shafik Bisaso’s men who came into this encounter with nothing to settle for but victory.

The win took Proline to 42 points and finished the regular season as Rwenzori group winners.

Proline joined Elgon group winners Wakiso Giants as the directly promoted sides.

Debutants Dove FC held Kansai Plascon to a 2-2 draw to seal a play off berth at the expense of rivals Kiboga Young.

The Masindi based side found the back of the net in each half through Johnson Tusubira and Robert Baluku but were reduced to 10-men after Bright Haguma was sent off.

Kiboga Young rallied twice to salvage a 2-2 draw against lowly placed Kira United at Bamusutta grounds.

Fazil Muhammad and Fidel Muhwezi scored for Kiboga while Abdallah Senyonga and Hakim Mugerwa did the same for the visitors. Mugerwa later turned into a villain after being sent off for unsporting behavior.

Kitara FC earned a walkover against Kireka United after the latter failed to travel to Hoima.

In the Elgon Pool, Wakiso Giants ended the campaign with a 1-1 draw against Doves All Stars in Arua.

Sulaiman Jjingo’s 15th minute strike was cancelled out by Mustafa Kasolo’s goal four minutes later.

Kyetume consolidated their second place with a 3-0 win over Entebbe FC thanks to Phillip Sempiira, Denis Lubowa and Vicent Oundo.

Steven Bogere and his UPDF team finished third after edging Nebbi Central 1-0 at the Luo grounds in Nebbi.

Kataka FC survived relegation at the expense of Amuka Bright Stars and JMC Hippos. Kataka drew 1-1 with Amuka Bright Stars in Mbale.

Dan Okiror scored for Kataka in the first half before Patience Okori levelled scores 10 minutes to time.
