Ben Bwire’s first half goal was the only difference by full time at Kabanyolo grounds in Gayaza between Simba FC and Ntinda United in the FUFA Big League game of Rwenzori group.
Coming into this game, Simba FC badly needed the win to jump out of relegation of the Rwenzori group of the FUFA Big league. Ntinda United too wanted the win enlighten their chances of remaining in contention for promotion to the Azam Uganda Premier League next season.
35 minutes into play, Robert Ssentongo’s cross gave chance to Raphael Winju to put the hosts into the lead with a beautiful cross from the right flank but his header went straight into the hands of Abdul Tebalya the Simba FC goalkeeper.
With only 3 minutes to halftime, Robert Ssentongo was on with another beautiful cross and this time it was met by Ben Bwire in the goal area and simply tapped home to give the visitors a first half lead.
Into the second half, the Kamwokya based side pressed for another immediate goal and with only 5 minutes played, Robert Ssentongo had an opportunity to score one to his name with only keeper to beat but his shot went just inches away from the goal post.
