The climax of the FUFA Big League regular season could be highlighted by the dramatic turn of events in the Rwenzori group.

With a game to play, Kitara FC and Kiboga Young have lodged a petition against their rivals Dove FC alleging that the Masindi outfit fielded an ineligible player.

The player in question – Delphine Losambo is believed to have played for Dove FC without a formal International Transfer Certificate (I.T.C) and it’s further alleged that the club forged a national identification card for him.

” Kitara FC has filed a complaint to the FUFA Disciplinary Committee alleging that Dove FC fielded an ineligible player DELPHINE LOSAMBO shirt No.2 in the match between Kitara FC and Dove FC played on 8th November 2018.”

Read part of the statement from the FUFA Disciplinary Committee.

Kiboga Young also filed a petition against the same player (DELPHINE LOSAMBO) who featured in the match between Kiboga Young and Dove FC on January 3rd 2019 alleging that Losambo’s National ID NIN. CM970251094AZH was forged and is invalid according to NIRA.

It is understood that the CEO and PRO of Dove FC appeared before the FUFA Disciplinary Committee and presented their defense from the allegations on Monday 6th May.

The committee will however make it’s final ruling on Thursday 9th May, the same day the final games of the regular season will be played.

Kitara FC could sneak their way into the playoffs in the eleventh hour should the committee rule the petition in their favor.

Dove FC are currently third with 37 points, three better than fourth placed Kiboga Young (34 points). Kiboga who play against relegated Kira United, can reclaim the third place should the ruling emerge in their favor.

Kitara are fifth with 32 points and could move to the fourth place going into the last game against Kireka United, in case Dove FC forfeits points from the boardroom.

Dove FC will play against Kansai Plascon in their final match at the Bishops SSS grounds in Mukono.

Ceteris paribus, Dove FC can book a play off berth should they pick a point against Kansai Plascon in Mukono.
