Former Masavu FC striker Peter Lomolo put the home side in the lead in the first minute of the game before Nvule Jamir made it 2-0 with a right footed screamer moments later.

Rashid Asaba pulled one back for Kitara in the last kicks of the game but couldn’t salvage at least a point for the side that narrowly missed out on promotion last season.

Kiboga Young coached by Felix Ssekabuuza not only maintains it’s unbeaten run but also tops the Rwenzori pool with 11 points from 5 games played.

Kitara now sits fifth with 8 points accumulated from 6 games played so far.

Kiboga Young together with Proline FC remain the only sides yet to taste defeat in the Rwenzori group.

In other Rwenzori group games played on the day, Kansai Plascon condemned Vialli Bainomugisha’s Sharp to their first loss (2-0) of the season at the Mukono Bishops grounds.

Plascon is now second on the table with 10 points whereas Kabale Sharp slumps to the fourth place with 9 points from 6 league outings.

Bundibugyo outfit Bumate United registered their first victory of the season after defeating fellow strugglers Ntinda United at the Christ High school playground.

In the Elgon Group, debutants Light SSS FC held Kataka FC to a 1-1 draw at the CRO Sansiro in Mbale to maintain an early grip on the top of the table with 11 points from 6 games.

Amuka Bright Stars defeated Allan Kabonge’s Entebbe FC 2-0 to go second with 9 points thanks to second half strikes from Ivan Nyankori and Denis Omedi.

Kabonge’s coached men (formerly known as Masavu FC) are sitting on the bottom of the table having only managed 3 points from the 5 games played.

Army side UPDF FC succumbed to a 2-0 home defeat at the hands of the visiting Bukedea Town Council who were also registering their first ever win of the season.

The match between Doves All Stars and Jinja Municipal Council Hippos was postponed to Friday 7th December while Kira United vs Proline was pushed to Monday due to the unavailability of the Namboole stadium.

Proline’s budding striker Ivan Bogere leads the scorers’ chats with 4 goals followed by Kiboga’s Lomolo and Bronson Nsubuga of Amuka Bright Stars with 3 goals each.
