FUFA assistant referee handed one month ban

Assistant referee Juma Osire has been banned from taking part in any football related activities for a period of one month by FUFA.

Osire is the official responsible for Derrick Ochan’s wrongfully awarded redcar that culminated into Police’s loss to Vipers SC at Kitende.

After a review by FUFA Referees Displinary Panel, the red card was called off and it is upon that decision that Osire has been punished.

“FUFA has sanctioned Juma Osire with a one month ban from all football related activities effective 3rd March 2021.”

The assistant referee was wrongly placed hence making a wrong decision.

Police Football Club chairman Asan Kasingye has also been slapped a fine of 2.5 millions shillings payable with in 30 days for misconduct as he protested against the decision and stormed the pitch at Kitende.

Kasingye has also been warned of on any unethical conduct or else he is to be banned for six months without taking part in any football related activities both national and international.

The Cops have 23 points from 11 games which puts them in the fourth position.

They will play against SC Villa in their next game at Bombo Military Barracks Grounds on Saturday 6th- March.
