FRESH DIARY GAMES: Record winners Kawempe Muslim to play St. Noa in the final

SINAN RAJUB SENOGA

Record champions Kawempe Muslim could win their first championship since 2016 after advancing to the final of the Fresh Diary secondary school games in Mbale.

Kawempe edged Bishops SS Mukono 1-0 in the semi final thanks to a well taken Juliet Nalukenge penalty kick.

Ayub Khalifa’s charges will face St. Noa Zzana who eliminated Mukono High School with the similar scoreline courtesy of Angel Nakitto’s lone goal.

St. Noa Zzana playing in their maiden final, face a Kawempe Muslim side that has won eight of the previous 10 championships.

The two institutions will lock horns on Saturday 2:30pm to decide who wins this year’s title.

Losing semifinalists Mukono High and Bishops SS Mukono will face off at 9:00pm in a classification match to determine who joins the finalists to represent Uganda on the East African level in Arusha, Tanzania.
