Fresh Diary Games: Holders Gaddafi bow out as Kawempe and Mukono advance

Gaddafi Integrated will not be able to defend their title as far as girls football in the Fresh Diary Secondary school games is concerned.

Gaddafi lost 5-4 on penalties to Bishops SS Mukono following a tense goalless draw in normal time.

It was Crested Cranes defender Aisha Namukisa who also doubles as Gaddafi’s captain that failed to convert from the penalty mark.

Bishop SS will now face record winners Kawempe Muslim in the semi finals on Friday.

Kawempe were 7-0 winners over Buhobe SS with striker Juliet Nalukenge scoring a hat trick. Marget Kunihira (brace), Anita Namata and Hadijja Nandago completed the rout.

Mukono High thumped Mpigi’s Pride College 5-0 to set a date with St. Noa Zzana in the semi finals.

Leading scorer Fauzia Najjemba scored a hat trick and stretched her tally to 13 goals while Elizabeth Nakigozi grabbed a brace.
