Frank Kalanda set to complete AS Kigali deal

Soana FC striker Frank Kalanda is set to complete his move to the Rwandan premier league with Association Sportive de Kigali FC.

The lanky hitman rose to prominence during his time at Express FC in 2013/14 where he scored 17 goals for the red eagles, he later joined URA FC from where he joined Soana FC after his contract with the tax collectors was not renewed. He managed 8 goals in all competitions with 4 coming from the league and 4 in the Uganda cup, Soana was ejected at the round of 16 by Vipers SC.

Kalanda was a big pillar during Uganda’s qualification for CHAN 2014 when he scored a brace against Tanzania at Mandela National Stadium. He is also an other product of the famed Masaza Championships after featuring for Mawokota

Swift Sports understands that Kalanda is set to put pen to paper on a 2 year contract with the Nyambirambo based side after agreeing to terms with the club on personal terms. Only pending is a release letter from current employers Soana FC and he is expected to be unveiled to the club hierarchy and fans next week on Monday.
