Four Ugandan referees appointed for Djibouti vs South Sudan AFCON Qualifier

Four Ugandan match officials have been appointed to handle preliminary match of the 2023 AFCON Qualifiers between Djibouti and South Sudan to be played Egypt on 23rd March 2022.

Eng. George William Oloya has been appointed as the center referee.

The game will be hosted in Egypt since Djibouti’s national stadium is deemed unfit to meet CAF standards.

Oloya will be assisted by Ronald Katenya and Emmanuel Okudra as his first and second assistants respectively.

George Olemu has been appointed as the fourth official.

Olemu replaces Ronald Madanda who was initially appointed but is under suspension.

Madanda was suspended for six months for poorly handling Onduparaka’s tie against KCCA at Greenlight Stadium in Arua which was abandoned.

Ethiopian Solomon Gebreselassie Abebe has also been appointed as the match commissioner.
