Fortebet Real Stars Sports Awards: Five Awarded For Excelling in April

The organisers of the Fortebet Real Stars awards have revealed the winners from five sports disciplines for the month of April.

Mercyline Chelangat, Shaban Muhammad, Aaron Ofoyrwoth, Sharif Nabangi and Jerry Kayanga were the winners from various categories.

Shaban was named the best football player of the month following his sensational performances that saw him score 6 goals.

The Onduparaka forward helped his side move out of the drop zone. He beat Vipers duo of in form striker Cesar Manzoki and skipper Halid Lwaliwa to the award.

Ofoyrwoth fresh from winning the Africa Rugby Sevens Cup was named as the best Rugby player of the month. He beat teammates Adrian Kasita and Malcom Okello to the accolade.

Nabangi beat Christine Alupo and John Bosco Opendi to the Volleyball gong of the month of April.

In Athletics, Chelangat was rewarded for her astonishing performances and beat Ali Chebures and Shida Leni to the accolade.

Kayanga was crowned as the best Basketball player of the month. He beat Tony Drileba and Titus Lual Odeke to the gong.

The winners were awarded a plaque and cash. The awards are Sponsored by Fortebet and Jude Color Solutions.
