Kyetume Football Club has elevated David Katono Mutono as their new head coach for the remainder of the season.
Mutono fills the void left by Jackson Mayanja who threw in the towel on Wednesday after the club suffering a 3-1 defeat to Mbarara City at Nakisunga grounds.
He will work with Jimmy Kintu as Kyetume hopes to save their Premier League status.
Kyetume is struggling for survival; they are 14th on the table with 23 points from the 27 games played.
Mutono, A CAF B holder, has previously worked with Misindye Football Club, Seeta United, Soana (now Tooro United) and Buganda Province in the Drum tournament.
Kyetume will face Soltilo Bright Stars, Onduparaka and Vipers SC in their last three games.
The club has been under the tutelage of Charles Livingstone Mbabazi, Alex Isabirye and Jackson Mayanja in the 2020/21 season.
