Former England striker cleared to represent Nigeria


Ahead of their much anticipated FIFA World cup playoff against Ghana, The Super Eagels of Nigeria have been boosted by the approval of Leicester striker Ademola Lookman to change national allegiance.

Lookman was born in England to Nigerian parents and went ahead to represent his nation of birth at U17 and U20 level whom he also helped win the FIFA U20 World cup in 2017.

“I am glad to announce that the work we have put in has ensured that winger Ademola Lookman’s application to change his nationality and represent Nigeria has been approved by FIFA.

Nigeria head of football federation (NFF) said.

Lookman was born 24 years ago in England and he was named Olajade Alade Aylola Lookman.

Nigeria will visit Ghana on the 23rd of March and later host them on March 29th this year.
