Former Cranes winger on the verge of a switch to Maroons

Former KCCA, Express and Vipers winger Vincent Kayizzi is on the verge of completing a remarkable deal to join Maroons FC.

The winger is currently a free agent following the expiry of his employment contract with DR Congo topflight side CD Bukavu Dawa.


Talks between Maroons and the player’s representatives are in advanced stages and he is expected to put pen to paper on a one year contract with the George Best Nsimbe coached side.

He has previously played for KCCA FC (twice), URA FC, Vipers SC, Express FC, APR (Rwanda), FK Srem (Serbia), FK Novi Pazar( Serbia), Motor Lublin (Poland) and Bukavu Dawa ( DR Congo). He also has 40 national caps and 4 goals.

At Maroons, he is set to join other new signings at the like his former teammate at KCCA FC Brian Majwega, Yubu Bogere, Dan Wagaluka, Rashid Agau, Seif Batte and Sulaiman Majanjalo among others.

Last season under the stewardship of Asaph Mwebaze, Maroons finished in 9th place on the AUPL log with 37 points garnered in 30 games.
