Former BUL FC coach Peter Onen survives life threatening accident

Former BUL FC and U-17( The Cubs) Peter Onen survived a nasty motor accident in his home town Gulu City on Wednesday 4th-November evening.

Onen confirmed to Swift Sports that his hand and leg got broken and he is currently receiving treatment at Lacor hospital in Gulu,

“I am not ok right now but the pain has at least reduced abit but the sad news the accident broke my leg and the hand.”

“Right now it seems we are to look for further treatment and specialists else where but not yet confirmed the hospital we will be heading to yet.”

He has previously worked with Layibi College Gulu, St.Julian High School Gayaza, Gulu United BUL Football Club and notably guiding the U-17 Nation team to a AFCON qualification after winning the maiden CECAFA U-17 Zonal tourney in Tanzania.

By the time of the accident Onen had been earmarked as among the potential replacements for Mark Twinamasiko on the role of the head coach at newly promoted UPL entity Kitara Football Club.
