Maroons today host UPDF in prison grounds Luzira on Match Day 14 of Azam Uganda Premier league
Hosts come in this encounter without their solid defender Richard Ayiko, Emmanuel Akol and Patrick Gonahasa due to injury.
Maroons coach Asaph Mwebaze admits that his side is one of the sides that have benefited from the break and he hopes his team to get back to winning ways. He says,
“The break has been a blessing in disguise for us, we have had enough rest and also managed to review the mistakes that cost us valuable points”.
“We haven’t lost in 9 games and we hope to now turn the draws into wins, we are only aiming for win from this tie”. Added Mwebaze
Neither side has registered a win in their previous 5 games. UPDF have only picked one point whereas no team has drawn more games (8) this season than Maroons.
Maroons will rely on Solomon Walusimbi and Abdallah Senyonga to preserve their home record against UPDF wheareas the visitors will put their trust in Ezekiel Katende and Veteran striker Godfrey Wakaza
In their last meeting Maroons won 1-0 at home and played a goalless draw at Bombo grounds
