“In the finals in Nairobi i expect the national team to put up a massive performance than it has been in the previous editions.
This time around i have strong faith that we shall reach the quarterfinals of the CHAN tournament.”
On the competition for a starting place with Ismail Watenga,
“Isma is a good goalkeeper who is always wants to improve, face big competition and so it is a great pleasure for me to be in line for a starting place with him. This means i have to work hard but the most important thing is to help the nation side achieve more success.
The KCCA Fc custodian also talked about the Cranes’ encounter with Africa’s most successful nation Egypt in the 2018 world cup qualifier.
” We are now through to the final CHAN tournament and now focus is on the game against Egypt in the world cup qualifier next week. Egypt is a strong team with exceptional players but i know our coaches Basena and Kajoba have all it takes to prepare the team well for the massive game,” he concluded.
Uganda will be competing in the final tournament of the Africa nations Championships in Nairobi for the fourth time.
However, focus will now return to a double header against the Pharaohs in the world cup qualifiers slated for 31st August and 5th of September.
