Final Cranes squad for CHAN confirmed

National football team head coach Jonathan Mckinstry has confirmed a 25 man squad that will represent Uganda at this year’s tournament.

The Northern Irishman has also confirmed that Vipers SC defender Halid Lwaliwa will be captain of the team.

Uganda commence their campaign with neighbouring Rwanda on January the 18th at the Stade de la Reunification-Doula.

The unlucky players that will board the plane back to Kampala are Wakiso Giants captain Hassan Senyonjo, reigning league top scorer Steven Mukwala,  BUL FC in form striker Joseph Semujju and URA defender Ashraf Mandela.

Local champions Vipers SC have taken the lion share of representation with 8 players at the biannual tournament where only players plying their trade in the local leagues are eligible.
