FEASSSA Games postponed to 2021

DAVID GOMBE

The Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Associations (FEASSSA) has decided to postpone the 2020 games due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

This year’s games were to be staged in Kakamega City of Kenya in August.

The development was confirmed during the FEASSSA EXCOM meeting held on Zoom and attracted 13 members from four member states

It’s very difficult now to find out the return dates of schools in all the member states, so we found it right to cancel the games for this year and wait next year. The venues and the hosting country will remain the same.” Stated the FEASSSA organising Secretary Chris Mugisha.

Due to the pandemic, the Uganda National Secondary Schools games that had started in March were put on hold.

Last year, Uganda clinched the overall FEASSSA title in the games that were held in Arusha, Tanzania.
