Mbarara city have suffered their heaviest defeat of the season to Proline Fc at the Philip Omondi stadium in Lugogo. This comes after SC Villa subjected them to their first league loss of the season two weeks ago in Masaka.
Proline has become such a boggy side for the Western region based side after beating them 5-0 and 2-1 in the 2015/16 season when they met in the Big league.
The goals came early for them and by the 4th minute, they had already fallen behind to a Fahad Bayo’s goal. Head coach Viali Bainomugisha has attributed the loss to fatigue, inexperience and their inability to readjust to the artificial turf. He said,
” We were a bit unlucky to concede a very early goal but the boys were fatigued due to the late travels.”
“The playing surface was alien to most of my players, we did not get ample time for them to practice on it and we hope next time they won’t be affected by the same”.
“Inexperience was another factor for our humbling loss since most of my boys a new to league situations, this is a tough league and they too need to toughen up”.
The coach however affirms that they will sit back, counsel his boys and find ways of how to recover from this hard loss. Mbarara City will host Police FC in their next fixture on the 20th of October.
