Express have a glorious opportunity to continue with their surge up the league table when they host one of the most struggling sides Busoga United at Wankulukuku.

The Red Eagles are currently 5th on the log with 20 points but can move up at least a place above depending on the result from BUL FC vs Arua Hill which is a fixture between the 3rd and the 4th.

The visiting team currently lie second from the bottom with seven points collected from the 12 games played so far.

Busoga United are enduring a winless streak of seven games and have lost all their most recent six games.

They fell to SC Villa 1-0 in the last game while Express held KCCA to a goalless draw at Lugogo.

Express have won all their most recent three home fixtures against Gaddafi, Mbarara City and Wakiso Giants and will be aiming to stretch their current unbeaten run to 11 games.

Wasswa Bbosa’s men have not lost a game since their season opening two defeats to Arua Hill and UPDF.

Busoga United have not won a game since November 5th when they beat fellow strugglers Tooro United 3-1 in Buhinga.

Team News

Abel Eturude is still injured while Arthur Kiggundu will require a late fitness test to feature in this one.

Isa Lumu, who was withdrawn in the early stages of the KCCA game after being booked, is suspended for accumulating yellow cards.

Busoga United will miss Shaka Ssozi, Nicholas Mwere and Steven Okello due to injury.

Goalkeepers Andrew Ssekandi and Michael Nantamu return from injury while Rashid Mpata is a doubt.

Head To Head

The previous 10 league meetings between both sides have seen four wins for either side while the other two games have ended in draws.

Last season Express won both games, 1-0 at Wankulukuku thanks to Frank Kalanda and 4-0 at Njeru in a game that saw Godfrey Lwesibawa score his first hat trick for the club.

Players to watch

Eric Kambale has scored in all the last four home games for Express and will surely be a man to look up to as the Red Eagles search for another home victory.

Busoga United have largely depended on striker Anwar Ntege who has so far managed to score five goals.
